Winsor & Newton Artist’s Gloss Varnish

Winsor & Newton Original Artists’ Varnishes provide finalized oil and alkyd paintings with superior protection against dirt, grease, and UV damage. Choose from three formulas — each made with different resins to impart varying degrees of gloss. All are removable with mineral spirits or turpentine so that paintings may be cleaned in the future. Paintings must be thoroughly dry (at least 6–12 months) prior to application.

A general-purpose, non-yellowing varnish, Winsor & Newton Artists’ Original Gloss Varnish dries to a high-gloss finish. It may be mixed with Artists’ Matt Varnish for a custom degree of gloss.
