Winsor & Newton Artists’ Dammar Spray Varnish

Winsor & Newton Artists’ Spray Varnishes are the easiest way to provide paintings with superior, brushstroke-free protection against dirt, grease, and UV damage. All formulas are removable with mineral spirits or turpentine so that paintings may be cleaned in the future.

This traditional, pale yellow varnish dries quickly to a high gloss finish and is primarily suitable for sealing oil and alkyd paintings, prints, and maps. Please note that it tends to darken with age.
