Daler-Rowney

Our reputation as a manufacturer of the finest art materials dates back more than 200 years. In 1983, the Daler Board Company purchased the George Rowney Company to become Daler-Rowney Limited, as it’s known today. In their own specialist areas of manufacture, both companies led the development of fine artists’ materials in the United Kingdom for many years. The combined heritage of both companies and the Daler-Rowney name has become synonymous with consistent quality to artists throughout the world.

Daler-Rowney now operates from three manufacturing bases – all its Colours (paints) are manufactured in Bracknell, Berkshire.  Artists’ paper and mountboard is transformed in Wareham, Dorset and artists’ brushes are made in La Romana in the Dominican Republic.
With its Paper, Brushes and Colour three pronged approach to product development, production and sales & marketing, Daler-Rowney is unique amongst the leaders in the fine art market in offering its own products in the three key fine art categories.
As well as being divided into the three product categories, the Daler-Rowney range uniquely offers solutions to four groups of artists; professional artists, accomplished students and amateurs, emerging talents and beginners.  In each of the three product groups, every artist can find products adapted to their technical level of accomplishment as well as their financial means.

While Daler-Rowney sells in the UK and exports to some 100 countries worldwide, throughout its long history it has maintained and built upon its reputation, always aiming to further develop its’ standing and the company’s product ranges.

Reeves

Reeves is founded in 1766 and is the leader is school and university grade paint and artist materials around the world.

In 1766 William Reeves opened his first shop near St Paul’s Cathedral in Well Lane, Little Britain where he manufactured and sold his own paints. The business was doing so well that he took his older brother Thomas into partnership.

it was a family orientated business where William’s brothers, children and extended family all helped to give Reeves the quality reputation that it still holds today. However, it was the successful marketing of the Moist Watercolour Paint-Cake invented by William RVS, which placed RVS at the forefront of manufacturing artists’ materials.

Today we are passionate about art as Williams Reeves was when he established RVS in 1766. Our history of producing innovative artists’ materials is core to everything we do.

As the world’s leading supplier of Painting by Numbers and Scraperfoil we are proud to provide guidance to artists and make art accessible for all. Our ranges include products suited to children, crafters and artists.

RVS continually refines based on feedback from artists, ensuring we can make a difference to artists around the globe.
